Develop an effective job search strategy
Simply applying to online job postings isn’t enough. A well-rounded job search strategy involves various techniques, with networking being the most productive.
Targeted Job Search
Rather than applying to every job you come across, focus on positions that align with your skills and interests. You’ll create stronger applications and stand a better chance of succeeding at a job you actually enjoy. Tailor your resume and cover letter to each position and show genuine interest in the company.
Networking and the Hidden Job Market
Many jobs are never posted online. Learn to tap into the "hidden job market" by building connections, conducting company research, and setting up informational interviews. This can often lead to more productive leads than traditional job searches.
