Co-op Programs & Internships

LA&PS
Whether you're an LA&PS student aiming to gain practical experience or an employer interested in hiring skilled candidates for a co-op role, you've come to the right place. The Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies co-op program offers full-time work opportunities to help students build their careers.

Science
The York University Co-op Program in the Science division offers students the chance to apply their academic knowledge in paid, hands-on work experiences while allowing employers to access skilled candidates ready to contribute to their teams.

Lassonde
Lassonde Co-op connects students with major corporations, non-profits, and public sector organizations for valuable Work Integrated Learning experiences. Employers gain access to skilled candidates, while students complete two work terms totaling 12 to 20 months and earn a co-op designation on their transcript.

Markham
Co-op and internships at York University, Markham Campus provides organizations a platform to post job opportunities, engage with qualified students and connect directly with potential candidates.

International Practicum Placement (IPP)
Each year, students in the Bachelor of Education (BEd) program can apply for the opportunity to participate to complete a teaching placement in an international location, in addition to practicum completed in an Ontario school.

School Placements
Students in the Bachelor of Education (BEd) and Bachelor of Education (BEd), Technological Education participate in school placements, which include working with small groups and/or individual students, facilitating classroom activities, co-planning and co-teaching with the mentor teacher, and engaging in lesson study.

Community Placements
Community placements provide students with the opportunity to learn and engage with a variety of communities and organizations. Students in the Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Education (BEd), Technological Education, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Educational Studies and in the Graduate Program in Education have the opportunity to learn and engage by participating in community placements.
