Hello! I'm Jeanne. I am down-to-earth, quick to laugh, love hearing life stories and singing my heart out!  

For those who feel lost in your career, that was me in my 20's. I didn't find myself until... wait for it... I was sent to a career counselor. There, I saw how I could help people reach their full potential, using my people skills and life experience. 

Within a year, I earned my Career and Work Counselor diploma and landed a job in a non-profit employment agency. When I decided I wanted to help university students find careers they'll love, I began a job search advisor position at York’s Career Centre, and started my Master’s in Counseling Psychology, part-time. When I graduated in 2011, a career counselor position opened at the Career Centre, and I happily stepped into my dream job! 

My career advice to you is to remain open, curious and reflective on your journey. Remember that everything works out in the end. And if it hasn’t, then it’s not the end! (John Lennon, adapted from an old Indian proverb)

Who Am I? I’m still finding it out. Every-day learning is fun and makes life fascinating. I've visited 30 countries, lived in five of them, and moved 25 times! I love sun, ocean and beautiful beaches (Waikiki is my favorite). I’ve played many roles in life. The best one is being mum to my amazing son.  

I am an experienced educator and career counselor with more than 20 years of experience working with students who, like me, are trying to find out who they are.  

I hold a Master of Education in Counseling and Educational Psychology from McGill University and Master of Arts in Pedagogy and Foster Care obtained in Poland.  

Passions, I have plenty (dogs, making art, yoga). Regrets, only few (not following my bliss, but that's my secret). I see the necessity and beauty in bringing people together and inspiring each other to improve the social fabric of societies.

Welcome! I am an experienced career counsellor and I enjoy working with York students and recent graduates who are seeking help with their academic and career exploration. I provide a holistic approach, and my areas of interest include supporting students with disabilities transitioning from school to work, helping mature students achieve their academic and career goals and supporting PhD students with navigating their career path outside of academia.

I hold a Master of Education Counselling Psychology and I am a registered member with CCPA and CRPO. Outside of work, I enjoy practicing yoga and dedicating time to purpose-driven causes in my community. 

As a career educator, I bring a unique blend of expertise to guide post-secondary students and recent graduates through their job search journey. I hold a bachelor's degree in Law, an Architectural Technician diploma, and a postgraduate Career and Work Counselling diploma. Picture this: a blend of legal wisdom and design savvy, enriched with career education magic! With solid experience in career development, I'm here for YOU, no matter your major or minor. My passion? Revealing the unique potential in every student. I believe success isn't one-size-fits-all, and you can define it on your terms, just pursue it with determination, and celebrate every milestone!

I am a career professional with nearly a decade of experience providing career, co-op placement and employment advising to students in a fast-paced post-secondary environment. In my current position as a career educator at the York University Career Centre, I educate students with the best of strategies and insights on how to navigate the world of work.  

My academic background includes a Canadian equivalent BA in English Honours spanning three years, complemented by a Bachelor of Education (BEd) obtained in India. I am also a graduate of the Career Development Practitioner Postgraduate program from George Brown College in Toronto, and an award-recipient of the 'Excellence in Counselling' Award 2014. 

As someone deeply involved in the realm of career development, I find great resonance in the words of Steve Jobs: "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do."

Hi Lions! My name is Tal, I appreciate and am fascinated by the diversity of York students who come to the Career Centre. I approach each student with curiosity, professionalism, and enthusiasm. With five years of experience in the career development industry, I bring a post-graduate diploma in Career Development from George Brown College and a bachelor of arts with a specialization in Psychology from Western University to my work.  

In the last year, I have been working on two special projects: (1) with the Lassonde School of Engineering and (2) overseeing the Work/Study students in the Career Lounge.  

I love to help students develop and elevate their professional brand and articulate their accomplishments to reach their career goals. When I’m not working, I train in squash, take lessons in guitar, rest, hike and hang out with friends and family.
